Terms and Conditions

We believe in transparency, read our terms to stay informed.

By requesting to book one of the properties managed by Coastline Comforts you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement and on this page. These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for all our guests and property owners.

Booking and Fees

  • Booking: Reservations can only be made through authorized Online Travel Agencies such as Booking.com, Expedia.com, TripAdvisor.com, Airbnb.com, and VRBO.com. We do not accept bookings directly through our website; it is intended solely for inquiries about our services, checking property availability, or addressing issues encountered on the booking platform.
  • Additional Fees: A cleaning fee of $300 will be added to the total booking amount at the time of booking. Some properties may also require a damage deposit equivalent to one night’s stay. This information will be displayed on the booking platform listing page at the time of booking.

Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Standard Rate

  • Payment must be completed at the time of check-in or at check-out for verified customers.
  • Cancellations are free of charge.
  • No refunds can be processed for these rates as there is no advance payment required.

Early Booker Rate

  • Includes a 10% discount compared to Standard Rates.
  • Reservations must be made at least 30 days in advance, with check-in scheduled no sooner than 30 days from the booking date.
  • A deposit equal to the first night’s stay is required within 3 days of booking to confirm the reservation.
  • The remaining balance is due after check-in or at check-out, offering flexibility while securing your booking.
  • Cancellations are free up to 7 days before check-in. If canceled within 7 days of check-in, the first night’s stay will be charged.

Promotional Rate

  • Offers up to 30% off compared to Standard Rates.
  • Reservations must be made at least 90 days in advance, with check-in scheduled no earlier than 90 days from the booking date.
  • Full payment is required within 3 days of booking to confirm the reservation.
  • Clients may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 7 days before the check-in date. Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in are non-refundable. This policy offers lower prices in exchange for a firm commitment to the stay.

Refund Processing
All applicable refunds will be processed within 3–5 days to the original payment method.

Important Note
We strongly encourage guests to carefully review the cancellation terms listed on the booking platform before finalizing their reservation.

Check-In and Check-Out Times

  • Check-In: 4:00 pm
  • Check-Out: 12:00 pm
  • Late Check-Out: Unauthorized late check-outs will incur a $300 charge if they prevent the cleaning crew from accessing the property.

Self Check-In
Detailed check-in instructions will be emailed to guests 3 days before arrival. This email will include the property welcome book, house instructions, and emergency contact details.

Property Use and Restrictions

  • No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in all properties. A $500 fine will be charged for any violations.
  • No Parties: Parties and events are not allowed without prior approval. Violations will result in a $500 fine and/or immediate expulsion from the property.
  • Noise: Noise must be kept at a reasonable level, especially after 10:00 pm.
  • Respect for Property: Guests must treat the property with respect and care, as it will be used by future guests.

Additional Policies

  • Repairs and Maintenance: Coastline Comforts will make repairs as expeditiously as possible after being notified by Renter. Agent and contracted repair professionals shall have the right to enter said premises during reasonable hours to examine and make such repairs as may be deemed necessary for the safety or comfort of Renter. There will be no refund or rebates issued to Renter as a result of the repairs or time required to complete them.
  • Breach of Terms: Should Renter breach any of the terms of this Agreement, Renter shall be liable for all costs, damages, and expenses incurred, including reasonable attorney’s fees. In the event that any actions or proceedings are initiated by either party with respect to this Vacation Rental Agreement, the parties agree that venue thereof shall be in the county within which the property is located within the State of California.
  • Personal Items: Upon request of the Renter, any personal items left in and/or on the premises will be returned C.O.D. at Renter’s expense through a mailing service. Shipping and handling fees may be assessed.
  • No Professional Videography or Photography: Absolutely no professional videography or photography of the rental or within the premises should occur without explicit approval from Coastline Comforts. Additional fees may be assessed.
  • Noise Restriction: Noise restrictions apply after 10:00 pm. Any infractions could result in a $500 fine and/or immediate expulsion from the property.
  • Additional Charges

    Rates do not include daily maid service, gratuities, car rental, food, liquor, laundry, personal items, or excessive cleaning upon departure (e.g., upholstery or rug shampooing). Guests are responsible for these charges if they are assessed.

Property Management Services

  • Owner Accounts: Only property owners can create an account on our website.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Coastline Comforts will make necessary repairs as quickly as possible. No refunds will be issued for time required to complete repairs.
  • Breach of Terms: If guests breach any terms, they will be liable for all costs, damages, and expenses incurred, including attorney’s fees.
  • Personal Items: Any personal items left behind will be returned at the guest’s expense.

Sheets and Towels
Sheets and towels are provided at all of our properties. Renters will be charged for missing or damaged linens.

Notice of Absence
You must inform us in advance if you will be absent from the property for 5 days or more. If this notice is not provided, you will be liable for any damages that occur as a result of your absence.

Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall Coastline Comforts be responsible for any loss, expense, damages, claims, or injury direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise. This includes losses arising from delays, substitutions, rescheduling, or changes in services, land accommodations, or events beyond our control. We will make every effort to provide services or accommodations comparable to those contracted. Some activities, such as swimming, hiking, or use of equipment, involve inherent risks. Guests assume all risk of injury, illness, or damage resulting from such activities.

Condition of Rental
The property must be returned in the same condition as upon check-in, normal wear and tear excepted. Coastline Comforts or its agents may enter the property at reasonable times to make repairs or provide maid service. Guests must immediately notify the owner or agent of any fire or damage to the property. Guests shall be liable for all acts of their family, invitees, or employees.

Privacy Policy

  • Personal Information: We collect personal information to process reservations and provide property management services.
  • Data Security: We take reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
  • Use of Information: Personal information is used solely for booking and property management purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any actions or proceedings arising from these terms will be resolved in the county where the property is located.
